On this February 16, we reflect on the history of the American presidency and the leaders who have guided our country through its most defining moments. It’s a day to honor the office and the enduring principles of leadership and service.

Professional oversight and consistent policy implementation are the hallmarks of a successful board. Thank you, Ms. Donatto, for your commitment to the operations of our district.

Strong board leadership provides the structure necessary for our educators and students to succeed. We thank Ms. Hardy for her professional service and her focus on district wide improvement.

The board’s role in managing district policy is a critical component of student achievement. Thank you, Ms. Nolan, for your diligent work and your commitment to the governance of our educational system.

Please be advised that all St. Landry Parish School Board schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 26th, and Tuesday, January 27th, due to forecasted winter weather conditions. This decision was reached after consulting with the National Weather Service and the Office of Emergency Preparedness.
The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. All after-school activities, practices, and school or district-related events scheduled for these days are also canceled.
We encourage everyone to stay indoors, keep warm, and stay safe for the duration of this winter weather event. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates regarding Wednesday’s schedule through our standard communication channels.

The oversight provided by our board members ensures that our schools operate efficiently and remain accountable to the public. We appreciate Ms. Sias for her dedication to these responsibilities.
